We have received a response to our letter from the East of England Co-op which you can read here. Now, it looks like it is time to tackle the Post Office Ltd. Please email them at email@example.com, or write to them at
FREEPOST, POST OFFICE, CUSTOMER CARE
Brantham Co-Op plan to close the Brantham Post office on Wednesday 15 November 2017 leaving the village without this vital community service. The Co-operative claims that the increased use of online postal services means that the Post Office is no longer financially viable.
The Parish Council knows that the Brantham Post Office is an important village resource for many local residents. Did you know that the Post Office is not just there for sending letters, you can also;
- Pay your utility bills,
- Withdraw money from most current accounts,
- Make cheque or cash deposits into many current accounts,
- Collect your pension or benefits payments,
- Make home shopping returns,
- Purchase your Environment Agency Fishing Rod licence
- and many, many more!
The Parish Council will be lobbying the East Of England Co-operative to change their minds and we need your help to do this! Brantham has well over 1000 households in our village, if each household sent a letter to the Post Office asking them to change their mind then perhaps we can make a difference and get this ludicrous decision reversed!
Over the next few days we will be updating this page with example text that you can use to send a letter to the East Of England Co-op voicing your concern. However, if you just want to get on with it, please address your letters to:
